Mission

“To become an international-class industrial port so that it can meet the needs of the development of heavy industry, petroleum and gas in the East Coast Corridor of Peninsular Malaysia by providing efficient and high-quality maritime services.”

Function

The Kemaman Port Authority carries out its duties in accordance with the powers delegated through the Port Authority Act, 1963, the Statutory Bodies Act 1980 and the Ports Act
(Privatization) 1990, as follows:

1. TRADE FACILITY
• Lease
• Marketing

2. COMMANDING AND PLANNING
• Control of development and planning
• Regulate the operations of port operators
• Issuance of port operation license and shipping
• Regulate the safety of waters and access routes
• Regulate the security of the port area
