Kemaman Port is strategically located in Tanjung Sulong (latitude 04˚ 15′ 00″ N, longitude 103˚ 28′ 00″ E) about 75km from Kuantan, Pahang, 90km from Kuantan Airport and 40km from Kertih Airport, Terengganu.

Kemaman Port is located in the heart of the oil and gas industry development zone within the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) and benefits from the rapid growth of the petrochemical industry around Kertih. The construction of the East Coast Highway can also improve access to the port.
